Today, Breast Cancer is the second cause of cancer by which death among the women rises and second only through lung cancer. So, the estimated number of new cases in 2009 is relatively lower than the previous years. Breast cancer advocates have not ceased. They continue to find ways to increase awareness towards the disease, raise funds for its research, and help in any way they can to support the advocacy. The pink ribbon included instructions on self examination and information on how to petition Washington to increase funds for research.
